The Wood Industry Cluster is celebrating its 20th anniversary
December 31 @ 08:00 – 17:00
The Woodworking Cluster has been operating since January 2000, founded by almost twenty major woodworking companies and institutions based in the then largest wood company JAVOR Pivka. Igor Milavec and Bernard Likar, graduates of woodworking, took care of it at that time, and later they were joined by Erika Valentinčič, Master of Woodworking. In 2007, the cluster connected its support services with the services of the Association of the Wood and Furniture Industry at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and transferred its headquarters to Ljubljana.
Lesarski cluster is one of the first Slovenian clusters and a few still functioning clusters from this generation!
In twenty years of operation, he has participated in dozens of domestic and international projects, organized dozens of business delegations across Europe and the United States, led two generations of a competence center for human resources development in woodworking, successfully contributed to strengthening the competitiveness of woodworking companies and industry support environment. for years he has also participated in the SRIP Smart Buildings and Home with a Wood Chain. His successful work is also confirmed by the silver Cluster Management Excellence badge, which has only 76 clusters in the EU, including only two Slovenian ones.
We are always looking forward to the new challenges posed by wood, this beautiful and human-friendly material, with tremendous potential for global CO2 reduction. Thank you to everyone who has supported us all these years and worked with us!
