An interim meeting of the FULAR project partners, hosted by the Agricultural University of Tirana, took place in Tirana, Albania, on 11-12 May 2026. The meeting brought together project partners from the IPA ADRION region countries and representatives of the national IPA office to review progress to date and coordinate further activities.

The first day of the meeting was dedicated to presenting the key results of the work packages WP1 and WP2, focused on the analysis of the sector from a circular economy perspective, the preparation of a strategy and guidelines for implementation, and discussing the implementation of WP3, which represents an important phase of the project. Special emphasis was placed on the practical aspects of further activities, including the implementation of workshops, the development of prototypes and the coordination of partners’ contributions in the future period. The discussion between the partners allowed for an in-depth overview of the challenges and opportunities and the definition of the next steps for the successful implementation of the planned tasks.

The second day of the meeting was dedicated to a good practice visit, during which the partners visited a company from the furniture sector in the Tirana area. The field visit allowed participants to gain first-hand insight into production processes and exchange experiences on implementing circular approaches in practice.

The meeting was held in a constructive and collaborative spirit and made a significant contribution to further strengthening the partnership and the coordinated development of solutions to promote a circular economy in the furniture industry.
