Delegation of Slovenian wood companies at MADE EXPO Milano successfully completed

On Tuesday, 23 November and Wednesday, 24 November, a business delegation of Slovenian wood companies was carried out at the MADE EXPO Milano fair. Companies participated; Marles houses, Jelovica houses, Riko houses, M Sora, iQwood, Donar and Lesarski cluster. In addition to visiting the MADE EXPO fair, which is one of the most established fairs in the field of sustainable construction and furnishing of buildings in Italy, business b2b meetings were also organized with Italian architects, agents and partners. The delegation was jointly organized by the Public Agency SPIRIT Slovenia, the Directorate of Wood Science at MGRT, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Association of the Wood and Furniture Industry and the Wood Cluster.
We were very pleased with the support of Slovenian economic diplomacy; The Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Rome and the Consulate General of the Republic of Slovenia in Milan!
We continue to support Slovenian wood and furniture companies with the next business delegation, which will take place on 16-20 January 2022 at the EXPO Dubai world exhibition!
Danilo Anton Ranc, Director General of the Wood Industry Directorate at Ministry of economic development and technology of Republic Slovenia, said, “The Slovenian wood industry is of great importance for our economy, for balanced regional development and, due to the favorable properties of wood, also for mitigating climate change. Slovenian wood companies are innovative, flexible and trustworthy, and can offer a wide range of high quality products and services. Traditionally, their share of exports is over 50% to the most demanding EU markets, including Italy. “
Bernard Likar from Wood Industry Cluster Slovenia added, “This is a delegation with which we are re-establishing organized business events in foreign markets live since the winter of 2019, when the outbreak of COVID-19 began. This fills us with hope for further normalization of such Our expectations in the Italian market, which is the second largest export market for our wood industry after Germany, are mainly new business connections with Italian architects, agents and companies in the field of wood construction. And in January, we will continue with the delegation of woodworkers to the EXPO Dubai.”
