On May 20, 2026, business meetings of delegations of wood and furniture companies from Slovenia and Ukraine were held via the online b2b platform. The event was organized by the SPIRIT Slovenia Public Agency with the support of the Directorate for Wood at the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The implementation was coordinated by the Lesarski grozd in cooperation with the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This is the third such meeting in the last two years with the aim of further deepening and strengthening business contacts.

The aim of this business meeting of delegations from Slovenia and Ukraine was to learn about the latest market trends and to find new business opportunities and contacts. 26 Slovenian and 10 Ukrainian wood and furniture companies expressed interest in the meetings.

Ukraine represents a very interesting market, especially from the point of view of the supply of wood and wood materials, and on the other hand, an increase in demand for wood and furniture products can be expected in the post-war reconstruction. The current volume of trade in wood and furniture products between the two countries is in the range of EUR 15.5 million, which means that there is potential for strengthening trade.
