Allview project – a round table of stakeholders on the topic of human resources in the wood industry

On 14 April 2022, we held an event at the Grand Hotel Union in Ljubljana as part of the Days of Slovenian Woodworking on the topic of human resources in the wood industry.
The event was initially served with interesting lectures; Framework for the renewal of study and secondary school programs (Nataša Hafner Vojčič, Sector for secondary and higher schools, MIZŠ), renewal of study and secondary school programs in the field of woodworking (Dr. Marko Petrič, UL BF and Aleš Hus, Community of secondary woodworking schools), presentation of an international project ALLVIEW (Dr. Jože Kropivšek) and the KOCles 3 project – Competence Center for Human Resources Development in Woodworking (Bernard Likar).
A round table of stakeholders from the wood industry “Personnel and professions in woodworking, dual system” was held, where key issues and proposals for improving education, strengthening enrollment and promoting the profession among young people were highlighted. Namely, staffing is one of the biggest and most complex problems of the wood industry, not only in Slovenia but also elsewhere in the EU.

The event was organized by SPIRIT Slovenia, a public agency, with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology – Wood Industry Directorate.
