On April 15 and 16, 2025, as part of DRWO4.0 PE South, the Timber Cluster participated in the DRWO4.0 study visit, which was dedicated to the implementation of lean methodology in the transition to Industry 4.0. On the first day, the participants visited the company Windor d.o.o. in Pleternica, where they learned about the process of introducing lean principles and were introduced to the basics of lean production and the concept of eight lean wastes.

The second day was dedicated to a visit to Bauwerk Group Hrvatska in Đurđevac, where participants delved into practical examples of lean manufacturing. Presentations and discussions offered valuable insights into how companies can use lean approaches to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and at the same time prepare for the challenges of Industry 4.0.

The study visit was a great opportunity for wood industry professionals to gain first-hand knowledge, exchange experiences with industry colleagues, and learn about the latest advances in lean methodology. The event also provided participants with the opportunity to network and form new connections that will contribute to the further growth and development of companies in the region.
