The second meeting of the Slovenian Community of Practice (CoP) within the R-evolve project was held in Ljubljana on 16th of December 2025, to discuss the state and future of the Slovenian furniture industry.

This time the focus was on the topic of furniture marketing at home and abroad, challenges, obstacles, ideas, initiatives.

The meeting was attended by the companies Alples, Gonzaga-Pro, Mizarstvo Florjančič, Murales, CRI Celje, and representatives of the University of Ljubljana, the Association of the Wood and Furniture Industry at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and the Wood Industry Directorate at the Ministry of Economy, Tourism an Sport of RS.

The discussion was very open and provided a realistic insight into the situation and plans of Slovenian furniture companies in the area of ​​strengthening their sales at home and abroad. Sales to foreign markets represent 40% of the total sales of the furniture industry and are therefore a very important area.

The conclusions of the meeting clearly showed where the opportunities are and where support from the state and the supporting environment of the industry is expected. The series of meetings will continue next year.
