The Springer Maschinenfabrik in Friesach, Carinthia, Austria, hosted an exclusive presentation of the new SAWBOX sawing system on October 23, 2025. It is a fully automated saw that promises to be a turning point in the woodworking industry – its compact design, minimal staffing requirements and high efficiency make it a solution of the future.

SAWBOX is designed specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises, cooperatives and regional value chains. It occupies only a fraction of the space of traditional sawmills, but achieves comparable performance, while enabling short payback periods due to low operating costs. In addition, it offers strong arguments for sustainability, efficiency and the circular economy, making it an innovation that responds to the current challenges of the industry.

The event program included technical presentations and profitability calculations, as well as networking opportunities with more than 50 participants from Austria, Slovenia and Italy. Organizers emphasized that the meeting was an excellent opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships and establish new business connections.
