As part of the reBUILD project, we conducted a SWOT analysis to understand the key skills gaps and support needs for SMEs in the furniture, wood processing and construction sectors.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are aware that internationalisation, digitalisation, knowledge and the green transition are essential, but they face a lack of comprehensive planning and financing. Leadership, digital expertise and sustainability knowledge are among the biggest gaps.

A 32-hour targeted training program for cluster leaders and employees of SMEs is being developed to address these skills gaps and prepare SMEs for international competition, adoption of digital tools and compliance with sustainability standards.
