Between February 10 and 11, 2026, the second mobility event of the international reBUILD project took place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, involving partners from Spain, Slovenia, Romania and Ukraine.

The mobility event is intended to exchange experiences and good practices between partners and at the same time to strengthen business connections between companies and knowledge institutions from the countries involved in the project.

In addition to the Wood Cluster, the company VEZ d.o.o. and a representative of the Department of Wood Science, Biotechnical Faculty at the University of Ljubljana also traveled to Cluj-Napoca.

On the first day, we had the opportunity to visit the Furniture Determination Center and their laboratories focused on cutting-edge technology, innovation, and testing of furniture and materials. In the second part of the day, we attended the opening event of the call for companies, through which the MANUFACTergy project provides co-financing to increase their energy efficiency.

On the second day, we attended the panel “Design for Innovation: 3D Printing, Prototyping and Sustainable Solutions” and had study visits to manufacturing companies and innovation centers in Cluj Napoca. In addition, we also had a meeting of the reBUILD consortium, and invited companies and institutions took advantage of the opportunity for business networking.

The first mobility event was in November 2025 in Slovenia, and the third event will be in Spain at the end of May. The series of these events will continue until the end of 2026.
