On June 4, 2025, the innovation platform in Manzano, managed by the Wood Furniture Home Cluster FVG, became a true hub of creativity and sustainable thinking! The Wood Industry Cluster and students of the Faculty of Design, together with their mentor, participated in a mobility and hackathon as part of the international Erasmus + project FLIER.

The creative challenge involved high school and college students from Ireland, Spain, Italy (two groups) and Slovenia. Their task? To create innovative projects that not only reflect the philosophy and products of the Spanish company SURU, but also promote sustainable solutions for a more responsible future!

After intensive idea development, presentations and debates, the best team was selected – the one whose vision is closest to the company’s wishes while also putting sustainable practices at the forefront. The winners will receive an exclusive 2-hour design consultation as a reward, which will help them upgrade their projects and direct them towards even more ecological and innovative solutions.

The Fleir Hackathon proved once again that the future of design lies in networking, bold ideas, and sustainable thinking! Congratulations to all participants – your creative and sustainable visions are changing the world!
