The Wood Industry Cluster (WIC) has managed the Competence centre of HR development in the Slovenian Wood and Furniture Industry (www.kocles.si), which comprised 27 companies with 2.470 employees and 8 institutions. The Competence centre organized trainings for the companies with aim to help them at their products, processes and business models’ development. In years 2016 – 2018 we realized 898 trainings sessions with 97 different lecturers. Trainings attended 5.392 participants from companies. Based on the new knowledge acquired, companies achieved 10 business improvements! The project also enabled the integration of a student-mentor-company into a triangle, as well as between companies and institutions of knowledge.
