Between 16 and 20 January 2022, a business delegation of Slovenian wood and furniture companies was carried out at the world exhibition EXPO Dubai. The delegation included 22 companies and 6 organizations with a total of 47 participants. The presentation of the delegation can be found HERE <\/a> <\/mark>.
The delegation was jointly organized by the Public Agency SPIRIT Slovenia, the Wood Industry Directorate at the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, Wood Industry Cluster Slovenia and International Relations Department at CCIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to visiting the world exhibition EXPO Dubai, an interesting business part of the delegation was also organized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Monday, January 17, 2022, a business forum was held at the Slovenian pavilion, entitled Sustainable Living and Wood – “Fit for 55” <\/strong> (program can be found HERE <\/a> <\/mark>) on wood as a sustainable material of the future, with the participation of high representatives of the Republic of Slovenia. The Fit for 55 program in the context of forest systems and the wood industry was presented at the event, and the opportunities that Slovenia and Europe have in the field of wood were highlighted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the business forum, an exhibition of innovative wooden products was set up on the pavilion by students of the Maribor College of Woodworking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
